Here is a collection of entities outside of Recursive Delete that we approve. These particular items fall under the category of labels. To peruse links in other categories, click the "else" link above.

Tugboat Press - link - Sunday, June 11, 2006 - comments (0)
Publishing books and comics for a few years now, Tugboat Press puts care and tasteful design into each item released under its banner.

West Of January - link - Friday, November 14, 2003 - comments (0)
Bellingham, Washington, has a tight-knit scene and this label provides some insight into what is going on in that scenic, hilly town.

Tincansound - link - Thursday, May 08, 2003 - comments (0)
Iris Porter runs this label which features her output as well as items made by her friends. Tincansound released the DIYinPDX book & CD compilation which features a track by The Online Romance among 20 songs by portland artists. I am also a member of the Culottes, Iris' band with an ever-rotating line-up, who have a number of releases on her label. (Note, 6/11/06: I went on my final tour with the Culottes in June 2005.)

David's micro-label has been around since the mid-90s when he was still releasing cassettes -- in the days before CD burners, if you can remember such a time -- and has managed to be a bit more productive than I have in the "record label" department. He released a split tape that included the only publically released recordings of Saturday Night Fever and he has also unleashed a few albums of his own music upon the world.

Audio Dregs - link - Wednesday, February 26, 2003 - comments (0)
Another fine Portland indie label, Audio Dregs focuses primarily on experimental / electronic releases. E*rock, the guy who runs the label, also publishes an excellent zine called Thumb, and there's information about that on the site as well. There's also some neat animation and other goodies to be found when you click around.

Jake's label has got a misleading name -- since I have yet to see him release a cassette -- but nonetheless, he's pumping out the DIY spirit through both his own works and the recordings of friends. $2 for a full-length CD? You can't really go wrong there.

All the junk on this site (graphics, audio, text) is (cc)1999-2009 Recursive Delete. Not because we believe that we invented the wheel and want credit for it, but just because it's not cool to take other people's art and use it for your own without at least asking first.
