I haven't seen Doug, the guitarist/vocalist in the Clutters, in at least eight years -- we went to high school together and played together in Thee Autobots just after I had graduated. When our band met its demise and I moved to California, I remember questioning Doug's decision to pursue his ska band side project more seriously. But it was the mid-nineties; it can be forgiven! These days, in the mid-00s, Doug is living in Nashville and playing in the Clutters and, if reports would be believed, taking fans of garage music by storm. On bass is Jake Rosswog, also a high school classmate, who played with me in my first ever band(!), formed when I'd gained my first crappy drumset on my sixteenth birthday. (8x10 Nude Glossy was the name -- ask me for that story sometime.) I hope I get to see these guys live one day!
