Bryan knows the value of exquisitely crafted lyrical wordplay, but if you see him live you couldn't be blamed for not recognizing it right away -- you'd be too busy watching his fingers dance across the keys. (This guy knows how to play the piano.) Sometimes his songs veer into radio-friendly territory, but you really can't fault him since his ideals are so grounded; he's just doing it for himself and has no lofty aspirations beyond that.
